Students will have mastered the following:

September – January

 

  1. Identify how the Scientific Revolution created the beginnings of a modern world.
  2. To explain the contrast between the scientific revolution and Enlightenment.
  3. Analyze how the age of revolutions had a global impact.
  4. Read, interpret, evaluate, and incorporate various types of sources in writing prompts.

February - June

  1. To investigate Mass Killing/Genocide/deadly conflicts/ ethnic & religious conflicts
  2. To analyze challenges for developing nations: Industrialization and urbanization
  3. Identify and discuss contemporary issues in relation to current events.
  4. Analyze how change occurs through time due to shifting values and beliefs as well as technological advancements and changes in the political and economic landscape.
  5. Relate current events to the physical and human characteristics of places and regions.


AP World Mastery List

September -January

  1. Identify how Paleolithic migrations lead to the spread of technology and culture
  2. Describe how the Neolithic Revolution leads to new and more complex economic and social systems
