Information Processing

This required course for freshmen will focus on developing proper keyboarding skills and techniques in the use of the alphabet and number pad. Students will learn basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 Professional that includes Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.



Due to the nature of the course, there is no homework.  But students are encouraged to practice and apply what is learned in class.  All classwork must be completed in class.  One computer lab is open every Tuesday and Thursday afternoons per week until 3:30 p.m. for students to complete any assignments due to absence.

Attendance Policy:  Please refer to the student handbook, pages 6-7.

Grading Policy:  The course is graded on a point system.

Example:  890 points earned out 1000 assigned points would equal a grade of 89 (890 / 1000).
